Processed fruit aromas such as strawberry licorice, and ‘red fruit compote cake with gravel icing’. Restrained nose. Sweet impression in mouth, tight, slight astringency, medium body, flavors of red licorice and Sonic strawberry cheesecake milkshake on finish. Broad on the mid-palate only, lacks concentration, and a short finish. “This wine is like the lazy pothead sitting in the back of the classroom coasting along until graduation” in regard to lack of focus.
